Musicians increasingly use home recording to achieve their musical goals. Some aspire to become a DJ, while others work for become music producers. But by far the majority dream of creating their own group. Are you planning to start a recording project? If you're new the world record? Do not worry, here are five great tips on home recording that will serve you well in your home studio.
Start off right: Make sure your sound source is first class. The sound source can be vocals, guitar, drums, etc. Your ears will be your best guide therefor. If something sounds wrong ears, it is likely that it will not be a good sound to the microphone either. This is the first thing you must keep in mind when starting a recording project. Improving the sound source can be done using a new set of strings, obtain new drum heads, or singer performing training prior to actual registration. Always make sure you break your music into several parts. Treat each Party like its own little song.
Keep additional accessories: Keep a stock of basic facilities in music as guitar strings, microphones, strings and drum sticks. You never know when one of these completely save a session?
Save regularly: Imagine that you have worked on a track all day and night and you forget to save the work. The worst case here is that you could lose everything. Always remember to save on your work and use an auto-save feature if necessary. Make sure you have backups of all recordings. There may be an instance when your hard disk failure. If this happens, backups may help you to resume your work when you're finished, without having to start over. You can save your Working on your external hard drive, CD or USB drives.
Keep it simple: do not add anything fancy to your music unless it's needed. By example, many new "engineers" as not to mix the tracks by adding a certain effect, even if the DJ original song sounds better.
Keep an open mind: If you know of more experienced musicians, invite them to listen to your sessions and how to register. Remember always learn from criticism and suggestions welcome.
